Menominee Opera House Reconstruction Project

OPERA HOUSE TOURS 2006

During the annual Waterfront Festival the Menominee Opera House opened it's doors to the public for free tours. The response was amazing, the lines rivaled those at the beer tent as people waited their turn to view this 104 year old building. Over 1100 folks attended the tours. There were lots of interesting items describing the opera house and some of the shows and events that went on their. Mike was "Usher Pete" and the "Phantom" was the host and narrator.

Consessions and memoribilia were available to purchase

There were many volunteers who helped bring the tours together. We thank them all.

On September 3rd. an open house and a ceremony was held at MOH with the Vennama Family handing the deed of the building over to Donna Williams on behalf of the Opera House Reconstruction Committee and community. There was a variety of media there and plenty of folks to view the building. Bill Huntley was grilling hotdogs for any who wished one. We made about $900.00 as many interested folks contributed and purchased Opera House collectibles.

Wish to thank Phoenix Interstate Data Systems for providing web space.
